What Are Carrots’ Basic Requirements for Farmers?


To help create safe, reliable access to locally grown food for Shoppers, we ask all Farmers to meet these basic requirements for each Product listing:

  • Be responsive: Maintain a high response rate by replying to Purchase inquiries and recurring delivery requests within 24 hours.
  • Accept recurring delivery requests: Make Shoppers feel welcome by accepting requests whenever you’re able.
  • Avoid cancellations: We take cancellations seriously and ask all Farmers to avoid cancelling on Shoppers–their food preparation plans, and in some cases their business, depend on it.
  • Maintain a high overall rating: Shoppers like to know they can expect a consistent level of quality, no matter where they purchase.

Go to Profile to see how you’re doing in each of these areas. Your performance is tracked against the average level of performance for all Farmers on Carrots. Product listings that consistently fall below the average could be subject to penalties.
