How to List Products for Sale

To initiate the product listing creation process tap on Profile > Create a product listing and provide the requested information. You will need to verify your identity prior to completing your product listing. The identity verification is a one-time process and you won’t need to repeat it once you’re verified. Identity verification provides peace of mind for consumers and ensures the safety of the marketplace.

Initiate a product listing

To initiate the process to become a Farmer tap on Profile > Create a product listing > Create a new product, alternatively you can select to duplicate a previous product you’ve made so you don’t have to enter all your information again. Follow the prompts through to the end and complete your identity verification, that’s it! The identity verification is a one-time process and you won’t need to repeat it once you’re verified. You will need to have the following information for each of the steps shown to complete your listing:

  1. Availability/season and type for your product.
    1. Is your product available year round? Is it seasonal? You’ll put that information here.
    2. What type of product are you selling? Is it a vegetable, fruit, meat etc.?
  2. Product location.
    1. If you’re offering pickup to consumers then you’ll want to add the pickup location/s here. You can add more than one location and pickup time for each product. This is useful if you will be available at different locations throughout the week.
  3. Farming practices
    1. This is where you get to make your product shine! Select any of the quality indicators that make your product special. Details on each indicator is provided here.
    2. Note: Certified organic and Net-zero emission quality indicators will require additional verification prior to being displayed on your listing.
  4. Photos of your product, make them as pretty as possible!
    1. Here are some tips on how to take good photos of fruits and vegetables, as well as tips on how to take good photos of meat.
  5. Give your product a name and description
    1. You can get creative here, instead of “Apples” you might name them something like “Jane’s Honey Crisp Apples”
    2. Add a mouthwatering product description.
  6. Delivery and pickup options
    1. Do you deliver locally around your farm? Can customers come to your farm or farmer’s stand and pick up their orders? Add those details here.
  7. Product price and quantity
    1. How do you charge for your product? Is it per unit or by weight?
    2. Do you have a limited supply each harvest? Or can you produce continuously year round?
  8. Verify identity
    1. That’s it! Now you’re ready to verify your identity and start selling. The identity verification process usually takes less than 24 hours, but can take as long as 7 days depending on the volume of applicants.
