Carrots’ Off-Platform Policy

By Farming on Carrots, you agree to abide by our terms and policies, including our Terms of Service, which we reserve the right to enforce at our sole discretion. In the event of repeated or severe violations, we may suspend or permanently deactivate a person’s account.

In order to protect our community and business, the following behaviors are prohibited:

Asking Shoppers for feedback off of Carrots

Asking for Shoppers to review you or your Product listing off of Carrots takes valuable input about a Shopper’s stay away from Carrots’ community. We want Shoppers to share their feedback directly on Carrots so that other Shoppers may benefit from their insights. This includes:

  • Asking Shoppers to review a Carrots order on a non-Carrots website, or taking reviews from Carrots and posting them on a non-Carrots website
  • Asking Shoppers to fill out a survey regarding a Carrots order via a non-Carrots website or form off of Carrots

Asking Shoppers for contact information prior to Purchase

All Shopper communications prior to Purchase should be on Carrots. Asking Shoppers for contact information prior to Purchase is prohibited. This includes:

  • Asking Shoppers for their phone number or email address prior to Purchase
  • Asking Shoppers to call or email in order to discuss an order or recurring delivery prior to Purchase (ex: offering a deeper discount for Purchase directly by phone).
  • Asking Shoppers to go to a third-party website or fill out a form in order to make a Purchase (ex: stating larger orders need to go through a separate website)

Asking Shoppers for contact information after a Purchase or misusing contact information provided by Carrots

This includes asking for or using contact information for any reasons unrelated to a Shopper’s purchase, or in a way that compromises the quality of a Shopper’s experience. Shoppers should be able to communicate directly with Farmers about their orders through Carrots or via phone calls and texts. Soliciting additional contact information (email address, residential address) should be avoided. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Asking Shoppers for an email address for the purpose of their Carrots order and then subscribing them to marketing materials
  • Asking Shoppers to move the conversation to texts or emails in order to circumvent Carrots’ platform or Customer Support.

Shoppers should always feel like they have an option to opt-out of receiving marketing materials.

Asking Shoppers to create a separate account or install a third-party app in order to complete an order.

Shoppers purchasing through Carrots should be able to access their Product listing using only the Carrots app.

This includes:

  • Asking Shoppers to create a separate account or register on another website besides Carrots.com
  • Asking Shoppers to install a third-party app to access a Product listing.
